Robbinsville Changes Recycling Collection Dates and Pickup
Tuesday, September 30th, 2008Beginning October 1, 2008, Robbinsville is changing the way it collects recyclable materials. Collections will be done as a “single stream”, meaning that all materials including glass, plastics, metal, paper and cardboard will be loaded into one truck and can therefore be mixed in the same buckets. You can still use your yellow and green buckets and you no longer have to separate items. This new method will allow the township to save over 40% over the previous collection method.
The township is also changing the dates of recycling collection. Residents west of route 130 will have their recyclables collected every other Wednesday, beginning October 8th and every other week following that (October 22nd, November 5th., etc.). Residents on the East side of route 130 will continue to have the same collection schedule they always have.
